Objective

Our Preparatory Stage Curriculum not only aims at establishing a robust foundation for academic success, but also fostering lifelong learners to excel in an ever- evolving world. Through this innovative framework, we strive to cultivate curiosity, empathy, and a genuine passion for learning in every student. Following are the key subjects and their aims aligned as per NCF 2020 for the Preparatory Stage:

Language and Literacy- English and Hindi

  • Develop communication skills through listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Encourage a love for language and stories.

Numeracy- Mathematics

  • Build foundational numerical skills, including counting, basic operations, and understanding shapes and patterns.
  • Promote problem-solving and logical thinking.

Environmental Studies (EVS)

  • Foster awareness about the environment, community, and the world.
  • Encourage exploration, observation, and understanding of natural and social surroundings.
  • Educate students about healthy habits, nutrition, and personal hygiene. Promote overall well-being and a healthy lifestyle.

Science (Basic Concepts)

  • Introduce basic scientific concepts through exploration and inquiry.
  • Encourage curiosity about the physical world and living organisms.

Social Science (Introductory)

  • Help students understand their community, culture, and the concept of belonging.
  • Foster awareness of traditions and social responsibilities.
  • Involve students in Role-playing activities that replicate famous real-life events to help students memorise different people.

Art and Craft

  • Promote creativity and self-expression through various art forms.
  • Develop fine motor skills and an appreciation for aesthetics.

Physical Education

  • Enhance physical development, coordination, and health.
  • Encourage teamwork, discipline, and the enjoyment of physical activities.

Music and Dance

  • Cultivate an appreciation for music and rhythm, enhance auditory skills, and encourage cultural expression through dance.

Values and Life Skills

  • Instill essential life skills, social values, and emotional intelligence.
  • Promote empathy, cooperation, and respect for diversity.

Computers

  • Familiarise students with the basic parts and functions of a computer, including hardware (like keyboard, mouse, monitor) and software
  • Lay a strong foundation for digital literacy, enabling students to become global citizens with 21st century skills.
