Gurupurab Celebration
"He who has no faith in himself can never have faith in God." -Guru Nanak Dev Ji
The Pre Primary students of MBS International School celebrated Guru Nanak Jayanti on Wednesday, 13 November 2024 with great enthusiasm and joy. The event aimed to introduce young children to the teachings and values of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of Sikhism, in a way that was both engaging and age-appropriate.
The Ambience was beautifully decorated with flowers, posters, and symbols representing peace and harmony, setting a festive and respectful atmosphere.
The celebration began with a short prayer and a brief introduction to Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s life by the teachers, helping the children understand his contributions and teachings on kindness, honesty, and equality. Teachers narrated simple stories from Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s life, sharing lessons on compassion and service. The stories were shared in an interactive way to keep the young audience engaged and attentive.
The children participated in singing Shabads (Sikh hymns). Some students dressed up in traditional attire and performed a small dance, bringing joy and excitement to the day.
The Guru Nanak Jayanti celebration was not only an event but a learning experience that helped instill moral values in our little MBSians, leaving a lasting impact on their young minds.
