 ASSESSMENT CRITERIA

The assessment structure for classes III - V comprises of two terms i.e. Term-1 and Term-2

  1. Scholastic Areas:

SUBJECT

TERM-1(100 MARKS) 1st HALF OF THE ACADEMIC SESSION

TERM-2(100 MARKS) 2nd HALF OF THE ACADEMIC SESSION

LANGUAGE-1

ENGLISH

 

PERIODIC   ASSESSMENT- 1        (30 MARKS)

 

*Periodic test of 30 Marks will be conducted with syllabus given in the class. (Credit out of 10 will be taken)

 

* 5 Marks will be for notebook submission at term end

 

*5 Marks will be for subject enrichment at term end

 

HALF YEARLY    EXAMINATION               (60 MARKS)

 

Written Examination will be conducted covering syllabus given in the class.

 

Paper will be of 60 Marks but credit out of 30 will be taken for final assessment

PERIODIC    ASSESSMENT- 2      (30 MARKS)

 

*Periodic test of 30 Marks will be conducted with syllabus given in the class. (Credit out of 10 will be taken)

 

* 5 Marks will be for notebook submission at term end

 

*5 Marks will be for subject enrichment at term end

 

YEARLY EXAMINATION

 

 

Written Examination will be conducted covering syllabus given in the class.

 

Paper will be of 60 Marks but credit out of 30 will be taken for final assessment

ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES (EVS)/SCIENCE

 

  • Notebook Submission: Notebook submission, as a part of internal assessment, is aimed at enhancing seriousness of students towards maintaining notebooks and completion of work in the classes. This also addresses the critical aspect of regularity, punctuality, neatness and notebook upkeep.
  • Subject Enrichment Activities:  These are subject-specific activities aimed at enhancing the understanding and skill of the subjects. These activities will be carried out throughout the term; however, they will be evaluated at the term end. 
  1. Co-Scholastic Activities: For the holistic development of the student, Co-curricular activities in the following areas will be carried out in the school by the teachers and will be graded term wise on 3-point grading scale.
  1. (a) Art /Craft : Interest, Creativity and Skill

(b) Games: Enthusiasm, Discipline, Team spirit and Talent

(c) Music:  Interest, Rhythm and Melody

(d) Dance: Interest, Rhythm and Melody

(e) Theatre

(f) Computer Science

Grading of Co-Scholastic Activities will be done in each term.

  1. Discipline: the student will be assessed for the discipline which will be based on the factor like attendance, sincerity, behaviour, values and tidiness, respectfulness for rules and regulations, attitude towards society, nation and others.
